Elective courses

Hey guys,

Have you thought about which courses you might be taking next year? It is a good idea to plan ahead. You might want to check all the courses available for you programme, count your credits and see how many you can take.

In the Embedded Electronics Engineering program we can take 4 elective courses.

An example would be the Micro sensors class. Here, besides the theoretical study, you get to go to a clean room lab and fabricate your own sensor. You cn choose between a accelerometer, a pressure or a flow sensor. Once it is done you will also measure some parameters in order to be able to characterize the sensor. Here is my test bench to measure an accelerometer sensor.

You can find the complete loist of courses for the Embedded program here: https://kurser.lth.se/lot/?prog=MSOC&val=program&lang=en

Good luck!

Hi there. To complete the program you need to achieve 120 credits. 90 of those are from mandatory classes, leaving you only 30 credits (4 courses of 7,5 credits) for elective courses. If you are a tuition fee paying student you would have to pay extra for any extra courses. But if you are ever interested in more courses you can always ask the teacher if you can attend just as a listener, therefore not taking the exam or getting credits from the course.

Don’t hesistate to shoot me an email if you have any other questions about it!
